The Aqua Maid Bacteriostatic Water
Conditioner is a FOUR STAGE whole house water filtration system. The Stainless Steel
Jacketed Conditioner
is manufactured using a fiberglass inner tank, with a highly polished
solid stainless steel jacket on the outside, and features the latest design in control
valves. This conditioner softens municipally treated water and also inhibits the
growth of bacteria in the filter media. The bacteriostatic feature of the Aqua Maid
Water Conditioner is based on NASA Silver Ion Technology developed to purify water
aboard the space shuttles. A Silver impregnated activated carbon, called
"Aqua-Guard"
is the agent used by Aqua Maid to control bacteria growth in the filter media and
remove bad tastes and odors. The water conditioner also reduces chlorine, inorganic
minerals, and organic compounds from the water.
